He is an independent Governing Council member of the National Crime Research Centre. He is a member of the Research and Development Committee and Legal Committee.
He holds vast experience and knowledge in crime and security matters. He has accumulated 40 years work experience in the Kenya Police Service where he rose in ranks from 1978 and retired as the Director of Operations, Nairobi Region in October, 2018.
