She is an ex-officio Governing Council member of the National Crime Research Centre. She is a member of the Finance and Administration Committee and Legal Committee.
She holds a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Project Planning and Management specializing in Planning Design and Implementation, a Master of Art in Project Planning and Management and a Bachelor of Arts.
She is a member of Kenya Association of Project Management (KAPM) and Kenya National Association of Probation Officers (KNAPO)
