He is an Independent Governing Council member of the National Crime Research Centre representing academia. He is the Chairperson, Research and Development Committee and a member of the Audit Committee.
He holds a Master of Arts (Sociology) and Bachelor of Arts degree (Sociology). He is a senior lecturer and dean of students, School of Social Sciences at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA) with over 28 years cumulative work experience in academia.
